Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta One Day Tour is a small group tour that allows you to avoid the crowded touristy bus and the expensive Limo Tour. We do group sizes of 4 to 9 passengers per van and We have Wi-Fi, two mineral water bottles, and a wet wipe on the van. In districts 1, 3, and 4, we will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel.

This tour is ideal for anyone interested in the history of the Vietnam War or who is seeking a day trip that is not too far from Ho Chi Minh City. The journey visits two major tourist attractions: the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta.

During the Vietnam War, the Cu Chi Tunnels, also known as the “iron triangle,” were a network of underground tunnels that served as a military base for resistance to US forces. Cu Chi was previously known as the “dead land,” a region that had been decimated by millions of bombs. However, the region is still alive today, combining renowned historical structures with Vietnamese culture.

Because of the seemingly unending rice fields, the Mekong delta is known as “Vietnam’s rice bowl.” You’ll see buildings and markets floating down the river in this water world. This is a fantastic place for anyone who wants to see the Mekong Delta’s unpretentious beauty, get closer to nature, and meet the welcoming people of the region.

Cu Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta 1 Day Small Group Tours

7:30 – 7:45 – We’ll pick you up at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel in the early morning, and you’ll travel with your English-speaking guide to the Cu Chi tunnels. The drive is around 60 km.

At Cu Chi, you’ll be shown a documentary film about the tunnels and learn how the locals made bamboo traps, rice paper, and rice wine. You’ll then have the opportunity to explore the web of underground tunnels dug by Vietnamese resistance fighters.

After exploring the tunnels, we’ll drive to My Tho. This is one of the provinces that comprise the Mekong Delta area. We’ll cruise by boat along the upper Mekong through a region with islands named after 4 animals that appear in Buddhist writings – Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this part of the tour, you’ll observe some of the activities of regional Vietnamese daily life and appreciate how life here depends on the River.

We’ll then take you on a trip by rowboat along the small waterways. You’ll see the agricultural richness of the delta region in its fruit orchards, coconut groves, and bee-keeping farms. We’ll stop so you can enjoy honey tea, seasonal fruit, fresh coconut candy, and southern Vietnamese folk music.

At the end of our tour, we’ll drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel at around 18:00.
